On behalf of the Community-in-Need (a.k.a. Concerned Citizens of Progress Community), let me first express our sincere gratitude for your words of encouragement and the financial support received to date.
Unfortunately, GoFundMe plus outside efforts are running significantly behind our timeline for reaching the $100,000 goal. Our largest outside effort was a first-ever Community Fall Festival on November 10, 2018. The event featured musical artists, speakers, and food sales. The event itself was awesome; sadly, the tropical Mississippi weather decided to turn wintery that day (extremely cold and wet). Attendance and sales were far below expectations. Our next scheduled event is a food booth at the Town of Osyka Christmas Festival on December 8, 2018.
For those who can attend, please come and support us. For those who cannot attend, please donate by clicking on the "Donate Now" button on this GoFundMe page. Funds are desperately needed. This is not an affluent community, but we have heart and concern for each other. Please share this campaign with family and friends.
The legal process continues. The Evidentiary Hearing is scheduled for April 2019. Prior to the Hearing, several legal motions must be filed.
